Nestled in the heart of a lush 417-acre forest, Camp Timber Trails (CTT) is a breathtaking retreat that offers an escape into nature with a perfect blend of adventure and tranquility. Whether you're looking for a peaceful lakeside morning, a vibrant afternoon filled with activities and live music, a cozy evening by the fire, or an energetic evening of dancing under the stars, CTT provides the ideal setting for rejuvenation and connection.

A Day at Camp Timber Trails

Tranquil Mornings: Start your day with the gentle sound of nature as the morning sun reflects off the lake. Enjoy a quiet moment on the dock, take a meditative walk through the forest, or sip a warm drink in the West Wind dining hall, a cozy and spacious indoor lounge. Begin your day with morning yoga on the lake to awaken your body and set your intentions for the day ahead.

Lively Afternoons: As the day warms up, the camp comes alive with outdoor activities. Swim in the private beach area, paddle across the serene lake in a canoe or kayak, or take part in interactive workshops and creative experiences. The Lakeside Amphitheater is a perfect spot for a picnic while enjoying live music, open mic nights, or acoustic performances.

Energetic Evenings: Community bonfires warm up the night, offering an inviting space to share stories and sing songs. For those seeking high-energy fun, glow parties light up the night, filling the dance floor with vibrant energy and music.

Accommodations and Facilities

Camp Timber Trails is designed to cater to a variety of camping preferences, offering both rustic cabins and traditional tent camping.

  • Neighborhood Pods: The camp is divided into several small neighborhoods, each with its own bathhouse featuring fresh water, toilets, and showers.

  • Rustic Cabins: Over 50 wooden cabins, each providing 4 cots and a comfortable shelter for those who prefer a structured sleeping arrangement. The cabins are simple but functional, allowing guests to pack light and bring just their bedding. You can reserve a cabin for 4 or come solo and share a cabin to make new friends!

  • Tent Camping: For those who enjoy the immersive experience of sleeping under the stars, tent sites are available in designated areas throughout the camp.

  • Shower Hall & Bath Houses: A large shower facility with individual private dressing areas ensures comfort and cleanliness for all guests.

  • RV Area: While there are no hook-ups, RV camping is available for those who prefer bringing their own accommodations.

  • Golf Cart Taxis: Complimentary golf cart shuttles help guests move from one part of camp to another with ease.

A Rich Legacy of Community and Transformation

Founded in 1967 by the Connecticut Valley Girl Scout Council, Camp Timber Trails was built with a mission to develop strong, resourceful, and respectful young women who would make the world a better place. Since then, the camp has continued to be a haven for transformational gatherings.

  • In 2015, the HeARTbeat Collective brought the Unifier Festival to the site, creating a space where musicians, environmentalists, and healers could unite.

  • In 2017, Dance New England joined, fostering self-expression through movement and creative arts.

  • In 2019, Indigenous Elders from around the world gathered here for the Aniwa Gathering, sharing wisdom and deepening the camp's legacy of cultural exchange.

  • The camp has also hosted the Odyssey Teen Camp, a program dedicated to inspiring and empowering young minds.

Now, as Stargaze Festival becomes a part of the Camp Timber Trails family, we continue this rich tradition of music, dance, healing, and celebration of the human spirit.
